Ashraf brings a wealth of expertise to AngloGold Ashanti, joining Geita Gold Mine in 2023 after senior roles in mine planning and technical services across Canada, South Africa, and Australia.

He gained valuable experience at our Sunrise Dam mine in Western Australia. A qualified Mining Engineer, Ashraf holds a Mining Engineering degree and a Graduate Diploma in Mining from Curtin University, along with a First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency from Western Australia.

As the managing director of Geita Gold Mine, he is committed to fostering collaboration and ensuring operational excellence across all departments. His strategic vision is in alignment with the company’s goals and values, which he believes will contribute to the company’s continued success.
