Ikingo Gombo embarked on his journey with Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML) in January 2006, initially serving as an Accounts Payables Officer. Subsequently, he assisted the Management Accountant and rose through several positions within the Finance department. His growth trajectory includes roles such as Management Accountant, Chief Accountant, and currently, the Senior Manager for Finance and Supply Chain. In this capacity, Gombo oversees the Finance and Supply Chain operations at GGML. He holds esteemed positions on the GGML Board, the Executive Committee (ExCom), the Audit Committee, and the Management Committee (ManCom) of GGML.

With a profound passion for finances and accounting in the mining industry, Gombo leads the Finance and Supply Chain team with diligence. Under his leadership, the Supply Chain division focuses on the procurement of goods and services for the company. Concurrently, the Finance division emphasizes financial management, reporting, and offering strategic financial advice to optimize cash flows and ensure robust returns to shareholders.

With an impressive 18 years dedicated to GGML, Gombo’s experience in the financial facets of the mining industry is both vast and commendable. His commitment to the mining industry commenced immediately after he obtained his professional qualifications in December 2005. His extensive knowledge and experience have been nurtured by GGML, fostering a deep respect for the company.

On the educational front, Ikingo Gombo is an Associate Certified Public Accountant (ACPA) and proudly holds an MBA from ESAMI – The Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute, based in Arusha, Tanzania, which he earned in 2013.
