Suleiman Machira is an experienced security professional with a notable tenure at Geita Gold Mining Limited, spanning 22 years. Throughout his time with the company, he has ascended through numerous roles within the security department. Currently, since May 2020, he holds the title of Senior Security Manager. Prior to this role, from May 2019 to April 2020, he served as the Manager of Security, overseeing Underground and Production areas.

From June 2015 to April 2019, Machira held the position of Superintendent Security for both Star and Comet, as well as Matandani Operations. This was followed by his role as Superintendent Security Metallurgy in the process plant from June 2014 to May 2015. Between June 2012 and May 2014, he functioned as a Security Operations Specialist, and earlier, from January 2010 to May 2012, he took on the responsibilities of a Senior Security Officer. His journey with Geita Gold Mining Limited began in November 1999, where he dedicated a decade, up until December 2009, to various junior roles within the security department.

As a key figure in the company’s senior management team, Suleiman is entrusted with the critical task of security and Risk Management for the entirety of the Geita Gold Mine Operation. In addition to his practical experience, he is academically equipped with a Diploma in Business Management from the University of Cape Town.
