Improving Community Infrastructure in Geita

Reliable infrastructure is essential for community development and economic activity. At Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML), we support infrastructure projects that improve access to services, strengthen connectivity, and enhance the quality of life across our host communities. This work contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.

Between 2018 and 2025, GGML invested over 17 billion TZS (6.46 million USD) in infrastructure development. Our support focuses on practical, community-driven projects that respond to local needs and create lasting value.

This includes improvements to roads, public facilities, and essential community infrastructure, helping to connect people to schools, healthcare, and economic opportunities. These investments play a critical role in enabling mobility, supporting service delivery, and strengthening community resilience.

Across all initiatives, the focus remains on delivering infrastructure that is accessible, functional, and built to support long-term community growth. Through infrastructure, communities are better connected and positioned for growth. Explore more of our impact stories here.
