The company officially concluded its participation in the 5th Local Content Compliance Forum in Mwanza on Friday. Held under the theme, “From Dialogue to Action: Building a Resilient Mining Sector through Local Content and Industrialization,” the forum brought together government officials, regulators, mining companies, suppliers and entrepreneurs.
The three-day event provided an important platform to highlight GGML’s contribution to local employment, skills development, supplier growth and increased Tanzanian participation across the mining value chain. It also created a valuable opportunity to hear perspectives from the wider mining community on how local content compliance can be further strengthened across the industry.
During the closing ceremony, GGML received recognition as a gold-level sponsor and as one of Tanzania’s leading champions of local content compliance. The recognition was received on behalf of the company by Dominic Marandu, HR Operations Support Manager.
