Promoting healthier lifestyles and stronger community connections in Geita was at the heart of the launch of the community police-run club, an initiative sponsored by Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML).
Bringing together police officers and members of the Geita community, the run club encourages regular physical activity while creating an engaging platform for the police and the communities they serve to connect beyond their day-to-day interactions.
The launch also extended beyond physical fitness. As part of the activities, GGML facilitated a blood donation exercise, providing participants with an opportunity to contribute directly to an important community health need. The exercise highlighted how staying active, giving blood, and participating in community initiatives can all contribute to better health and well-being.
Through its support for the run club, the company continues to promote preventive health, active lifestyles, and community well-being, contributing to a healthier and more connected Geita community.
