On 22 May, Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML) proudly partnered with the Geita Municipal Council Department of Culture to support the Geita Cultural Festival, bringing together communities from across the Lake Zone to celebrate culture, heritage, and diversity.
The festival featured traditional foods, local art and cultural exhibitions, and vibrant performances by Sukuma, Longo, and Zinza cultural groups, alongside students from local secondary schools.
The event provided an important opportunity for communities to celebrate their identity, share traditions, and promote mutual respect and understanding among different cultures.
GGML values partnerships that strengthen communities and preserve Tanzania’s rich cultural heritage. We thank the Geita Municipal Council, cultural groups, schools, and community members for making the festival a success.
