As the 2026 Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) Exhibition in Njombe reaches its final day, Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML) has maintained a strong and visible presence, reinforcing its leadership in workplace safety and well-being across Tanzania.
Throughout the week, GGML’s multidisciplinary team showcased an integrated approach to safety, bringing together expertise from across the business to demonstrate how both physical and psychosocial well-being are embedded into daily operations.

The booth attracted strong high-level engagement, including visits from Njombe Regional Commissioner Hon. Anthony Mtaka, Fire and Rescue Force Commissioner Mbaraka Semwanza, and Labour Commissioner Suzan Mkangwa, who noted that “GGML is setting a strong example of how organizations can prioritize both physical and psychosocial safety. The mining sector presents unique challenges, but it is encouraging to see such deliberate efforts to support workers’ well-being.”

This recognition was echoed by OSHA CEO Khadija Mwenda, who emphasized that “GGML’s continued compliance with safety standards, as well as its consistent sponsorship of OSHA exhibitions, plays a vital role in enabling the Authority to continuously improve its operations and expand outreach,” noting that “partnerships like these are key in reinforcing the national message of workplace safety.”
From strong stakeholder engagement to consistent national visibility, GGML’s participation has not only elevated its reputation but also contributed meaningfully to advancing Tanzania’s workplace safety agenda.
