GGML marked the opening of the 5th Local Content Compliance Forum in Mwanza as a gold-level sponsor. Hosted by the Mining Commission of Tanzania, the forum brings together government, mining companies, suppliers, and entrepreneurs under the theme: From Dialogue to Action: Building a Resilient Mining Sector through Local Content and Industrialization.
In his opening remarks, Guest of Honour Hon. Anthony Mavunde, Minister for Minerals, recognised GGML as a strong example of localisation, highlighting our Vice President for Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement (Tanzania), Simon Shayo, as a reflection of Tanzanian leadership in the sector.

Simon Shayo reaffirmed GGML’s commitment to local content compliance, noting the importance of government partnership, supply chain localisation, and sustained compliance in building trust and long-term value.
GGML also hosted a dedicated booth where the supply chain and stakeholder engagement teams engaged participants on local content initiatives, procurement processes, and partnership opportunities.

Follow our social media channels for more updates, highlights, and key moments from the forum. We will continue sharing how GGML is supporting local content, strengthening Tanzanian participation and building lasting partnerships across the mining value chain.
