On Wednesday, Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML) was honored with two Presidential Taxpayer Awards, recognizing the company as Tanzania’s Overall Most Compliant Taxpayer and Outstanding Tax Contributor for the 2024/2025 financial year.
The recognition, received in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, is a proud moment for everyone across the business. It reflects more than financial performance. It speaks to our commitment to responsible mining, strong governance, and doing business in a way that contributes meaningfully to Tanzania’s national development.
Tax compliance is one of the most important ways companies support public services, infrastructure, economic growth, and long-term national priorities. For GGML, this achievement reinforces the role responsible mining can play in advancing Tanzania’s development agenda and the aspirations of Dira 2050.
