What made the day especially meaningful was the open, honest conversation with young people from Geita. Together, we explored practical topics such as employment pathways, entrepreneurship, skills development, and how youth can participate responsibly and confidently in the mining sector.
Supporting platforms like this reflects who we are: a responsible employer and a longterm partner to our host communities. With young people forming the majority of the population around us, it is important that we invest in spaces that build understanding, transparency, learning, and opportunity. These conversations help strengthen community trust and contribute to long-term social stability.
By aligning with national youth development priorities and upholding local content participation, we continue to play our part in Tanzania’s broader economic growth agenda. This is not a one-off engagement. It is part of our ongoing commitment to listen, share information, and help prepare the next generation for meaningful economic involvement.
