Walking Together to Support HIV/AIDS Awareness and Community Health

Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML) recently joined business leaders, development partners, and community members for the GGML Kili Challenge 2026 Warm-Up Walk, officially launching this year’s campaign to support the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Held on 30 May at Coco Beach, Dar es Salaam, the event brought participants together for a 5km and 10km walk, raising awareness and building momentum for the 2026 Kili Challenge.

Now in its 24th year, the initiative continues to unite organisations and individuals in support of HIV/AIDS programmes funded through the Kili Trust.

The Warm-Up Walk marks the beginning of the 2026 campaign, ahead of the main challenge on 24 July, when climbers and cyclists from across Tanzania will take on Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds and support ongoing HIV/AIDS initiatives.

As a responsible mining company, GGML remains committed to partnerships and programmes that contribute to healthier, stronger, and more resilient communities.

Every step moves us closer to a shared goal.
