From delays to timely treatment: An entrepreneurs’ perspective

A young mother of 3 and busy entrepreneur who is running a hair braiding business in the Nkome area, Grace used to wait up to 8 hours for consultation at Nkome Health Center. She has witnessed the change in services at the center having delivered her 3 children at the facility with the youngest being born after the renovation. Previously, after giving birth, prescribed medication was often unavailable which delayed the healing process for mother and child.

Following the opening of the improved centre she now receives treatment in less than an hour. Medication is also readily available and there are sufficient staff to treat her children. As an entrepreneur, Grace values the time saved when seeking treatment for her and her children.
