How Dorcas Mulyambate Is Transforming Maintenance at GGML

For Dorcas Mulyambate, continuous improvement is about using technology and knowledge to create safer, smarter, and more sustainable ways of working.

As part of GGML’s Engineering Department, she has seen how predictive maintenance is helping transform asset reliability by using equipment data to identify potential issues before they become failures, improving both operational performance and safety.

One of Dorcas’ proudest contributions has been leading the implementation of GGML’s digital pre-start log system using ArcGIS Survey123. Designed to replace a paper-based process, the system enables real-time reporting, faster defect tracking, and improved decision-making. “The Survey123 digital pre-start system has transformed the way we work by improving data accuracy, reporting efficiency, real-time decision-making, fleet safety, and environmental performance,” she explains.

Dorcas also recently represented TAMICO at the IndustriALL Global Union Executive Committee Meeting in Geneva, where she joined global discussions on the future of work, safety, inclusion, and leadership. “One of my biggest takeaways was the importance of investing in people, empowering women and young professionals, and fostering collaboration to drive meaningful change,” she says.

Armed with fresh perspectives on innovation, leadership, and collaboration, she looks forward to applying these lessons to strengthen the way we work and helping inspire others to embrace continuous learning and improvement.
